About Zwölf-Apostel-Kirche

The Zwölf-Apostel-Kirche is the home of a Protestant parish founded in 1862, serving Schöneberg Nord and Tiergarten Süd. The church, designed by Friedrich August Stüler, was consecrated in 1874 and still has its 57-metre tower.

After heavy bomb damage in 1943, windows were closed with empty gin bottles, now a protected monument, alongside later stained glass by Alfred Kothe and a Schuke organ. Today the parish offers choir music, senior activities and community breakfasts, and it also runs three historic cemeteries.
