About American Church in Berlin

The American Church in Berlin is an English-speaking, ecumenical Protestant congregation whose roots go back to 1859, when a Methodist missionary began English services for Berlin's growing expat community. Since 2002 it has worshipped in the Luther Church on Dennewitzplatz, which it bought in 2007.

Sunday worship follows the Western liturgy with communion every week, open to all. The congregation serves its neighbourhood through the Laib und Seele food programme and has groups for children, young adults, women, men and seniors.
