About Youth With A Mission (YWAM)
Youth With A Mission is an international, interdenominational movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. It began in 1960 with a young man's vision of waves of young people covering the continents with the good news.
Almost everyone in YWAM is a volunteer who raises their own support. Its communities train people through Discipleship Training Schools, then send them out — into evangelism, mercy ministry, the arts, medical work, education and church planting.
