The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Breitscheidplatz pairs the bomb-damaged tower of the 1895 church with the blue-glass modern church consecrated in 1961. It sees itself as a place of faith and remembrance and a monument against war, and welcomes over a million visitors a year.

The parish of about 2,000 members holds a classic Sunday morning service with communion and a rotating Sunday evening service, from motets and Taizé to jazz. Reconciliation work with Coventry Cathedral is at its heart.
