About Gethsemane-Kirche

Gethsemane Church is a neo-Gothic brick church built in 1891–93 and one of four churches of the Protestant parish Prenzlauer Berg Nord. In autumn 1989 it was a key gathering place of the peaceful revolution, remembered today by a memorial relief.

That legacy lives on in a daily evening prayer vigil for people unjustly imprisoned. The Sunday service comes with a parallel children's service and coffee afterwards, and the parish has a rich choir life, from a cantorei to a gospel choir and brass ensemble.
